SEASON

NASCAR ACCELERATION
January - February

Starting in January and extending into February, NASCAR Acceleration celebrates the opening weeks of the season like no other sport can. It’s a series of events leading up to the sport’s signature attraction, The Great American Race, The Daytona 500, in mid-February. Interest is further heightened in 2008, as the Daytona 500 celebrates its historic 50th running.

NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES ALL-STAR RACE
April - May

Traditionally run in late May, this premier event includes all winners from the previous and current seasons’ NASCAR Sprint Cup Series races, past Series Champions and previous event winners, competing on a night where the sport’s best battle each other for bragging rights and the glory of winning this prestigious event.  More>

NASCAR SPRINT CUP SERIES RACE TO THE CHASE
June - September

As the season progresses, contenders emerge for the championship-deciding Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup, dramatically battling for positions in the twelve-driver championship field. The NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Race to the Chase culminates in the twenty-sixth race of the season at Richmond International Raceway, where the twelve contenders are finalized.  More>

September - November

A 10-race battle between the top 12 drivers in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, the Chase for the NASCAR Sprint Cup has redefined sports excitement. NASCAR continues to show its commitment to diversity. The NASCAR fanbase continues to diversify – one in five minorities are NASCAR fans. One out of five NASCAR fans is a minority. 9% of NASCAR fans are Hispanic; 8.2% of NASCAR fans are African-American.
